There is nothing better in the summer than a backyard filled with natural beauty ranging from plants to wildlife. No, I'm not talking about deer and coyotes here; I'm actually thinking on a much smaller scale. Tiny hummingbirds with their wings vibrating, flitting about from flower to flower in your garden. It is a glorious sight indeed, and I decided to up my viewing pleasure by purchasing glass hummingbird feeders that would attract the little creatures to my yard.
I was having so much fun shopping for my own glass hummingbird feeders that it didn't occur to me right away that these beautiful items would also make wonderful gifts for friends and relatives who love the outdoors as much as I do. However, once the idea came to me, I began shopping with a renewed sense of gusto since I know plenty of people that would love the opportunity to watch these miniature creatures in their own yards.
I found a magnificent selection of these glass hummingbird feeders online. Many of these items were true works of art, with delicate shapes and brilliant colors that would instantly spruce up my yard. While the traditional red hue was a popular option for these products, I also found choices in green, blue, and purple that would add a rainbow of shades to my outdoor space. There were glass hummingbird feeders that could hang from staked hooks over my plants and others on poles that could be installed directly into the ground, peeking up above the flowers in my garden.
Some of the websites that offered the glass hummingbird feeders also had gift sets that included all of the necessary components in a single lovely package. This made my gift shopping super easy, because I could pick up a couple of these sets while I was shopping for other items for myself. The pieces that I chose have made a lovely addition to my yard, and I have spent many hours out there watching these amazing little critters enjoy the bounty of my garden.
What a great way to give the gift of the outdoors, by purchasing one of these beautiful glass hummingbird feeders and a bottle of nectar to fill it up. I even added a couple of plants that are known to attract hummingbirds, like hollyhocks and columbines. Butterfly bushes are another fun option and I found some lovely colors that would coordinate quite beautifully with the glass hummingbird feeders that I chose.
If you are interested in doing some bird watching of your own this summer, check out the amazing selection of glass hummingbird feeders available online. I think you'll find this hobby as relaxing as I do!
